A simple locket...

A simple locket I found while out shopping, my Grandma would have loved it.

So I had to put my grandparents photos in the locket.

Both these images are my favorite.

The Reason~

This blog is named after and dedicated to our grandmother, Dorothy, whose middle name is Delilah and maiden name Dale. At 90, she still makes dozens of quilts a year, journals every day, and is an unending source of inspiration to both of us.

At her knee, we learned to stitch, embroider, crochet and knit. We treasure the patterns she’s handed down, the worn cookbooks, her knitting needles and sturdy Singer sewing machine. Her kitchen, her flowerbeds, her orchard, and her stories of growing up on a Montana homestead will forever inspire us to be creative risk-takers, lovers of life, nature and adventure, and, above all else, devoted to family.

We hope you find her in us.
